Stockton, California is situated along the San Joaquin Delta waterway which connects to the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. Stockton Civic Theatre is an important part of San Joaquin County’s history and future. A regional showplace for great works of performing art that influence and enhance the lives of the residents of California’s Great Central Valley.

The Stockton Empire Theatre is an anchor feature within the "Miracle Mile Promenade Building". A mixed use facility, combining the elements of retail, dining, services, and entertainment all under one roof, in a unique and convenient setting.

Stockton Arena is home to the Stockton Thunder hockey team! Their first game was held on December 10, 2005 in front of a sold out crowd of 10,117.

Stockton's own Professional Soccer Team! The California Cougars are a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), a single-entity organization that features a coast-to-coast presence across the United States, and top soccer talent representing players from 31 different countries.

The Haggin Museum, an art and history museum, has been referred to by Sunset magazine as “one of the undersung gems of California.” For 70 years, The Haggin Museum has acquired, maintained, and exhibited two important types of collections — one composed of works of fine art and the other devoted to area history.
